As I continue to explore the intersections of spiritual wisdom and modern technology, I’ve been playing with different ways to bring mystical and magical practices into our digital lives. One practice I have been working with for years is using Oracle Cards to guide both my own and my clients social media strategies.
Oracle Cards are rich in symbolism and energy, and offer profound insights that can transform the way we engage online. I shared a Story on Instagram a few weeks back of a spread I’d pulled with
’s awesome new deck Self Source-ery, turns out this is not common practice, so thought I would share more of this with you, under this magical full moon.I’m going to show you a couple of card spreads for working with your social media, and the three decks that I love to play with the most.
I believe that oracle cards can connect us with our intuition, the universe's energies and that of our higher self/ves and guides. Each card carries its own vibration, which can give us clarity, guidance, and a fresh perspective on our challenges and opportunities. I believe the cards speak to us when used thoughtfully, and that they can help us align our social media practices with our highest intentions and authentic selves.
In a world where social media often feels overwhelming and disconnected, using oracle cards when you feel stuck, or are in need of some inspiration, they can bring a touch of magic, offering a moment of intentionality and insight. By using them to help guide you with your digital strategy, you can infuse your online presence with a deeper connection to your spiritual energy, self and team.
Selecting the right oracle deck for you is personal, but here are three decks that I love working with for social media the most:
Work Your Light Oracle Cards by Rebecca Campbell.
My OG go to social media oracle card deck! These cards are designed to help you connect with your inner light and share it with the world. They are excellent for finding inspiration and clarity in your social media practices, helping you to shine authentically online.
Self Source-ery Oracle Cards by Lisa Lister
I love Lisa’s new deck and artistry. This deck focuses on self-empowerment and intuition, making it ideal for tapping into your inner wisdom. It encourages you to trust yourself and your unique path, and I feel this deck provides solid guidance that can help you navigate the complexities of social media with confidence.
Sacred Creators Oracle by Chris-Anne
This deck is perfect for creatives and entrepreneurs, offering insights and inspiration to help you align your business and creative endeavours with your spiritual journey. The cards are geared towards manifesting your vision and overcoming obstacles, making them a valuable tool for social media strategy.
Chris-Anne also shares some spreads you can use her deck (or others) within your business and creative projects too - in Business, Soulpreneurial
and Soul Journey Spreads, I particularly like the Golden Handouts from Source spread :)
Sometimes if I need guidance, I will just pull one card, like I did this morning before sitting down to write this for you and I got an affirming card from Lisa’s deck which you can see above.
A classic spread that a lot of people know is the ‘Past, Present, Future Spread’ which helps you understand the trajectory of your social media efforts and identify patterns that may be influencing your current experience.
Card 1: Past: Reflect on what has shaped your social media presence up until now. This could be past strategies, content themes, or personal experiences that have influenced your approach.
Card 2: Present: Assess your current situation. What energies are you working with right now? This card highlights your current focus, challenges, or strengths in your social media practice.
Card 3: Future: Look ahead to what is emerging on your horizon. This card provides guidance on the potential outcomes and opportunities that lie ahead.
I also find a Goal, Obstacles and How to Overcome spread helpful, as it’s designed to help get clear on your intentions for social media, identify potential hurdles, and find ways to overcome them.
I have found that incorporating oracle card readings into my social media planning brings a sense of ritual and mindfulness that is often missing in our work in the digital realm.
When I was feeling overwhelmed by the pressure to constantly produce content, a reading from the Work Your Light Oracle reminded me to "trust the timing" and honour my creative cycles. This insight allowed me to approach my content creation with more ease and authenticity, rather than forcing myself to adhere to an unsustainable schedule.
Just as the ‘Make it Devotional’ card from Lisa’s Self Source-ery deck above reminds me of the power of making my social media devotional as I offer each post with a blessing or prayer on each full or new moon. Boom pow 💥
By taking a moment to connect with the cards and reflect on their messages, clarity and direction can appear that aligns with our highest selves.
Oracle cards can be a bridge between the mystical and the mundane, helping us to navigate being online with more spiritual wisdom, connection and intention.
As we continue to explore new ways to integrate our magic with how we use our technology, I hope this encourages you to experiment with your own magical practices and social media, let me know more as you do!
Love, Kdot x
Thank you Katie. Navigating this world can be daunting and your guidance, personal or written here is beyond valuable.🌀
I did the past, present and future spread today using Rebecca Campbells starseed oracle deck (thats the one that was winking at me!). I use cards alot but I've never applied them to social media but its seems my social media and the way I use it is becoming more relevant so I decided it was time for an overhaul yesterday then low and behold a friend sent me this post...and I'm a sucker for a bit of synchronicity! Thanks.
