This New Moon is an opportune time for you to plant seeds for your digital presence and cultivate magic in your social media garden for the year ahead.
"When we view our posts, our content as planting seeds of intention in order to allow our dreams and goals to manifest, the intention behind the content creation from concept to creation becomes such a different process - an enlightening, ever-evolving, process of clarification and manifestation.”
Planting seeds on social media is about so much more than building big follower numbers, we often over look the power of social media to be much, much more than this. We over look it, because of how we are trained unconsciously through persuasive design and big tech hooks. With gamification on the increase for platforms like Instagram in 2024, it is important for us to get back to OUR intentions when using social media.
What are the reasons you are called to share online?
And what are some opportunities you would like to call in through this act of creation, from sharing and communicating online?
I recently encouraged one of my friends to set up a Substack.
is an international Rugby 7s Coach, who has a unique set of insights, developing a playbook of tactics over many years in the field. His intention for doing Substack is to share and connect more widely with the Rugby 7s international community, create conversations with his contemporaries and sow seeds for new revenue streams. By sharing his articles on Linked In, he’s already had a couple of awesome opportunities present themselves from people reading his articles… This is just the beginning for him… What else can he call in?What seeds would you like to plant using social media this year?
What would you like nurture?
What would you like to harvest from your digital garden, this year and in the years to come?
"This lunation is the first New Moon of the calendar year and offers us an invitation to plant seeds, set practical intentions, and clarify our visions for the year ahead. Any New Moon in Capricorn asks us what we aim to build and what we are willing to commit to for the long term.”

Journal on the questions above and see what comes through!
Envision your social media platforms as a garden, as it moves through different seasons, watch for the things that could grow this year, the things you want to bloom, and blossom from sharing in your digital spaces.
Explore your social media garden guided visualisation
Find a comfortable, quiet space. Close your eyes, take a few deep, slow breaths, in and out of your heart space.
Now visualise your social media as a lush, vibrant garden. See the colours, textures and energies of the plants – each representing something you would like to see blossom and bloom as a result of sharing content on social media.
Wander through this garden. Notice the different platforms and content you share. Are the seeds you are planting here supporting your dreams?
Feel the energy of your current digital presence. What areas are flourishing in your minds eye? Which need more care? What could do with weeding?
Take some time to explore your digital garden, reflect on how each part of your garden makes you feel. What does it say about your current digital activity? And what do you want nurture? What do you want to fruit?
When you're ready, gently open your eyes, returning to the space around you, stretch gently, breathe deeply and reflect on the insights from your visit to the garden.
Write down or sketch your social media garden as you saw it in your visualisation – and use this to help you plan your social media strategy.
Let me know what you want to see grow in the comments below 🌱
For me, one of the things I would like to start growing in my social media garden is paid subscriptions on Substack and will begin to seed paid posts in-between my free articles and offerings soon. These will include practical and magical information, exercises, videos and audios to help guide you on your social media journey at a low cost - with your subscriptions supporting my time, energy, research and development - thank you for joining if you do 🤗.
my plan for this year was to use my voice via our blog and post there... because our business is dependent on sales via the website... do you think the same content across both blogs and substack is OK or should they be different? x
